What makes them safe
A flameless candle is an LED behind frosted plastic or wax-look resin. The “flame” is a flicker effect. That means: nothing to ignite curtains or bedding, nothing hot to touch, no wax to spill on carpet, and no smoke or soot in a small bedroom. A cat can bat one off a shelf and the worst outcome is picking it up.
The one thing to actually watch: batteries
- Prefer AA power. The Hearthglow flameless trio runs on AA batteries (not included), which are far harder for a child to swallow than coin cells and less attractive to chewing pets.
- Close the compartment fully. Check the screw or latch is secure before handing one to a child’s room.
- Store spares high. The candles are kid-safe; a drawer of loose batteries is not.

No. LEDs stay cool to the touch even after hours.
Can I leave them on all night?
Yes. The built-in timer can also switch them off on schedule, which saves batteries.
Are they safe in a bathroom?
Around a bath, yes, with the usual electronics rule: they are not designed to be submerged.
What if one stops flickering?
